Audit Manager Glasgow   Very attractive salary & package

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for an Audit Manager within this leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Glasgow.

The role has been created as a result of growth and restructuring, and comes at a very busy and successful time for the firm. As Manager in the Audit and Business Services department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts preparation and audit clients.  The anticipated split will be 70/30 in favour of audit work.

Clients range from small to medium sized groups and plc’s across a variety of sectors including property companies, service sector businesses, professional service firms, the construction industry, leisure, and manufacturing. As manager you will be given a high quality portfolio of key clients to look after.  There will be opportunity to become involved in the winning of new work and in the tender process.

You will hold responsibility for planning, budgeting and reviewing assignments, and for managing staff workloads and development.

You will be ICAS qualified with 2 years PQE, and with strong audit and accounts preparation experience, ideally gained in a small to medium sized firm.  You must have previous experience of managing staff, at Senior, Assistant Manager or Manager level. In the medium to longer term there is a strong opportunity to develop into Partner/ Director level and so you must have the gravitas and credibility to operate effectively at a senior level.
