Assistant Accountant Glasgow   To £25,000

HR Consultancy are working with a leading international business with offices based North of Glasgow City Centre.  As a result of business growth, our client are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

To be considered for this role you will already be working within a corporate finance environment and will have a solid career history.  ACCA or CIMA studies would be a distinct advantage however all candidates will be considered with relevant background and experience.  A strong focus towards finance systems is essential, the ideal candidate will have intermediate or advanced excel skills and experience of working with business objects. 

Key responsibilities will include:

• Carry out daily/monthly reconciliations of all general ledger control accounts
• Ensure that all daily transactions are captured correctly within the system and recorded correctly on system generated reports. Investigate and correct any errors
• Reconcile daily interface to the general ledger
• Reconcile/control all payments made and monies received, by reference to the system, a/p system and general ledger
• Calculate annual profit share accounts
• Respond to queries re the above
• Process and reconcile daily cash receipts daily payments as and when cover is required due to holidays/absence
• Respond to both internal and external queries and requests for information which may arise
• Carry out ad hoc exercises as required
