The job:

  • Handle and process Third Party Injury Claims for multiple claimant cases accurately and efficiently and in accordance with the Best Practice Guide
  • Make informed decisions on both liability and quantum ensuring that customers and company’s expectations are met, and the best possible settlement reached efficiently and expediently.
  • Negotiate and recover the best possible settlement for customers and the company as quickly as possible.
  • Capture third party and personal injury claims and offer alternative services.
  • Liase and negotiate with solicitors and other external representatives
  • Ensure settlement is achieved without the need for Litigation.
  • Achieve a balance between the provisions of a quality service combined with the commercial focus required to ensure that the company meets all targets.
  • Ensure all claims are checked for possible fraudulent cases. 

The requirements:

  • Proven track record in Personal Injury file handling within the insurance industry or legal environment
  • Understanding of the RTA/MIB and legislation relevant to road traffic accidents and injury claims.
  • Front line customer support in a target driven role.
  • Influencing and negotiating, in particular objections resolution.
  • Numeracy and literacy to GCSE level (Maths and English - Grade C and above) or equivalent.
  • FSA and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Knowledge of Claims processes and systems.
  • Demonstrate a full awareness of fraud indicators and managing reserves
