With the continued growth of Abbey for Intermediaries, an exciting opportunity for Telephone Sales Manager has arisen. The intermediary division of the bank is responsible for the sale of mortgages and insurance products through Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and represents one of the largest parts of the banks business. Delivering the telephony sales targets for the Division as a whole, the role will manage resource and workflow of a telephony sales team.
Experienced in managing sales and service call handling, you will be required to plan, organise and deliver effective time management across the telephone sales team of “Telephone-Business Development Manager Team Leaders and Telephone-Business Development Managers”. The role will require you to lead, coach, and motivate the T-BDM Team Leader’s on handling calls within given SLA’s, deliver service within target levels and team sales targets along with developing and agreeing individual T-BDM Team Leader sales targets and associated panels with the Head of Sales. You will be required to track Sales and KPI/ service performances measures and maintain ongoing monitoring of activity to ensure delivery of agreed levels of new business, product mix, and appropriate spread of business are maintained.
With proven experience in strategic management and excellent track record of achieving targets, you will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Essentially you will have excellent planning and communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate, influence and motivate at all levels both externally and internally with a thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements e.g. FSA Guidelines, Council of Mortgage Lenders, Money Laundering etc. Membership or affiliation to Financial services related professional bodies or groups would also be desirable
