Due to expansion, my client is currently seeking a senior procurement specialist with Social Care commodity experience.
Working under the direction of the Head of Strategic Procurement, the Commodity Manager will be responsible for managing a team of strategic procurement professionals delivering a wide portfolio contracts under specific commodity remits. The role will primarily be focused on sourcing and implementing optimum commercial, quality and logistics expenditure for the commodities allocated to the team.
A key function will be to liaise and influence all key stakeholders involved in the procurement process and assemble User Intelligence Groups to ensure that efficiency, effectiveness and value is delivered. You will also be expected to adopt a flexible approach to the management of contracts and resources necessary to achieve objectives.
