 Due to expansion, our Client, a leading Biosciences company, is currently looking to appoint a Senior Technical Support Scientist to liaise with clients regarding any technical queries or investigations, provide product information to clients and internal sales staff, manage complaints and be involved in process improvement projects. 

 The duties of the role include acting as a technical Quality representative for clients; provide scientific expertise on all technical issues relating to client enquiries / investigations and lead investigations into manufacturing, process or customer related complaints.  Additional duties are to develop and project manage internal teams , recommend improvement ideas, liaise with other internal departments to ensure an up to date product knowledge base is in place and ensure that recommendations are made to Quality and other relevant areas for CAPA purposes.

 Ideally candidates should possess a PhD in a chemical or Life sciences subject.  It is ESSENTIAL that they have experience of tissue culture and using tissue culture products, and have substantial experience in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment within a technical and / or customer focused role such as Technical Services or Project Management.   Applicants with a Masters or Bachelors degree in the aforementioned subjects and extensive experience in the areas already mentioned may also be considered, but preference will be given to candidates with a PhD.  In either case, excellent communication skills – both written and verbal - attention to detail, an ability to produce accurate and methodical written work, excellent report writing skills and a good level of computer literacy are also essential for this role as are excellent communication and problem solving skills.

 Please note that only candidates with the relevant experience as detailed above and already in possession of all permits enabling them to work in the UK will be considered for this role
