An exciting opportunity with a West End Aberdeen based organisation for a Payroll Assistant. You will be competent in manual tax calculations and have good communication skills.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Processing and reconciling weekly/monthly Payrolls.
  • Answering queries from employees and clients.
  • Maintaining payroll numbers on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring P45's and tax codes are processed correctly.
  • Keeping SSP/SMP records up to date.
  • Manual calculations of Tax, NIC, SMP, SSP, SPP, SAP and Student Loans.
  • Completing Inland Revenue, Benefit Agency, CSA and Government forms accurately and promptly.
  • Maintaining employee records and making sure at all times holds the most current information.
  • Keeping up to date with payroll filing.
  • Responding efficiently to all queries via email and telephone.
  • Using clients payroll manual when completing tasks for the client and maintain when necessary.
  • Set up of new clients/Exit of existing clients.
  • Keep up to date with Statutory Legislation.
  • Prepare and send Bacs Transmissions.
