WRVS is a national charity committed to bringing choice and enjoyment to the lives of all those older people whose lives we touch by enabling them to stay active and independent through services powered by volunteers.

We are positioning and structuring our organisation to meet the changing needs of older people, and have created this new leadership role to deliver our national strategy.

We are looking for an experienced senior manager who can:

·         Engage with older people throughout Scotland, to understand how we can make a difference.

·         Develop consistently excellent services, innovating new patterns and building sustainability.

·         Develop a deep understanding of the relevant political, economic and policy issues impinging on the lives of older people in Scotland now and in the years ahead.

·         Build networks with key partners, local authorities, NHS, other charities, and represent WRVS at the negotiating table.

·         Work with the WRVS teams – of local managers and volunteers, and national professional support.

·         Operate to high commercial standards of management utilising a range of business techniques.

·         Above all – deliver WRVS brand.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an outstanding record of delivery and the ability to deal with complexity and change.
