Architectural Technician required for Oil & Gas Related Company! Construction and oil & Gas experience welcomed.
This is the most exciting time in my clients' corporate history.
They have successfully completed a number of major projects around the globe and have received recognition from their clients and customers for a first class service. This has in turn provided them with the opportunity to bid for a substantial amount of further work within their specialist area and therefore they are currently in a position where they must expand.
They have realistic but exciting projections for the coming 3 years which will see their company grow to more than 3 times it's current size.
In addition to this they are in the process of being acquired by a large-scale, multi-national organisation, which will bring significant investment and rapidly accelerate the companies ambitious plans for more market share.
They currently require an experienced architectural technician / engineer to join their team on a permanent basis here in Aberdeen.
The role will involve taking individual multi-million pound projects through the design stage and carrying out the necessary project management. They design large scale structures and therefore it is essential that someone has carried out an architectural design function before. You will be highly involved with front-end engineering design and carrying out a detailed design function. The managing director of the company is an architect that moved from the construction industry into the offshore market. He recognises the skills construction industry candidates have and is very much willing to invest in someone who is attracted to and committed to moving into the oil and gas sector for longer term development and a variety of project.
The individual will have to be prepared to learn, develop and use their own initiative as the transfer will not be without its challenges but could significantly develop an enthusiastic individuals career. They would also be very interested to hear from any candidates from a modular background or indeed carrying out some form of architectural role within the oil industry itself.
Experience with any of the following packages (or equivalent) would be highly desirable by the managing director: Autocad 2009, Rhino, 3D studio Max or M.A.P.
There is also scope to be involved with international projects where an occasional placement within one of the clients or project management on location may be required.
They can offer an excellent salary based on market rates here in Aberdeen. They actually have a track record of being able to attract and secure highly specialist people within this market that have spent a sustained period of time in their career with only a handful of employers and retain them within the business by offering a rewarding, challenging and varied career along with providing excellent remuneration rewards. This will only get better as the company is acquired and a much larger scale of benefits package will become available to all staff.
They will be interviewing for this position in the near future. If your background fits with this and you are interested in the position, please contact me and forward your CV and expectations for remuneration.
