A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced technical Motor Trade Underwriter to join this highly regarded insurer in Glasgow.

You will be responsible for the development and underwriting of new and existing Motor Trade business in accordance with business.

plans and objectives. The role will have a strong focus on development with face to face broker interaction being a key element of the job.

General Description:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, business partners and colleagues.
• Support the development of cross class business opportunities.
• Participate in the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify progress towards business plan.
• Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency.
• Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to be able to operate effectively.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have a proven background and strong technical expertise in underwriting of Motor Trade business.

You will also possess first class negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills, a strong market awareness and broker development acumen.

ACII qualification is preferred but not essential.
