This business services company is looking for an Assistant Accountant for their head office to cover for a maternity leave in the team. The remit of the role is to assist with the management accounting for the various client contracts, it would suit a part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or similar) with some previous UK experience, maybe looking for their first proper management accounting position. You would be one of a large team responsible for the following:

- Preparing profit & loss reports and cashflows
- Analysing variances from forecast
- Preparing budgets and forecasts, and reforecasting monthly
- Calculating accruals and prepayments
- Preparing journal entries
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and calculating depreciations

This is a business facing role so you will need to be a good communicator, able to confidently talk in senior management meetings. We are ideally looking for a part qualified accountant in the early stages of their qualification, and you must have experience in some of the above duties.

Full training and ongoing support would be provided here so if you are actively studying this would be excellent experience to prepare you for your exams. Whilst there is no financial study support (due to the fact it is a 9 month contract), other team members would be able to provide mentoring support for exams.
