Salary: £20,237 - £22,436 Pro-rata As a member of a small team you will assist with the preparation, letting and monitoring of public transport and Education contracts, including tender administration.

In particular you will provide support in the provision of a public transport service and home to school transport for distance entitled children in accordance with the Councils policies.

You will be responsible for maintaining databases, ensuring information is kept up to date and will assist in the administration and enforcement of school transport. You will liaise with parents, schools and transport operators and act on behalf of Education Services with regard to school transport. You will monitor school contracts and process invoices for payments.

In addition you will be required to respond to the general publics enquiries on public transport and to assist with transport surveys and assessments, publicity and information and to participate in the effective operation of the unit.
You will work 33 hours per week.
This post is temporary until March 2010.
