You will work in a team to support the delivery of mail to teams, including timely delivery of express mail, processing outgoing mail, the opening and streaming of incoming mail, including cheque processing, and the distribution of mail and other information. You will also be responsible for upfront scanning of documents and ad hoc administrative/help-desk support as required.
Key Duties involve:
- Delivering and collecting mail from various locations at specific intervals through the day.
- Organise outgoing mail into bags and complete the relevant forms (e.g. Special/Recorded Delivery) and frank as required by Royal Mail.
- Responsible for internal mail.
- Where appropriate, liaise with fellow team members to ensure smooth handover of tasks.
- Attend the Post Office as required to organise particular Special Deliveries overseas.
- Deposit Royal Mail bags at the pickup point before the agreed pickup time each day.
- Create packs of brochures / application forms as required by Marketing and despatch these as instructed via Royal Mail. Maintain adequate supplies from stock for this purpose.
- Provide holiday/sickness relief for Mail Solution team members as necessary.
- Receipt and sorting of incoming mail for distribution.
- Opening and streaming of incoming mail, including cheque processing.
- Assistance with office moves as required.
- Porterage of incoming documents and consumables.
- Liaise with and organise couriers where appropriate.
- As appropriate, co-ordinate up front scanning function.
Applicants must have experience in a customer focused environment and within a team, working to tight deadlines and in an operational environment as preferred.
Intermediate skills such as MS Office, scanning technology, CRM database technology are a must and you must be able to carry out manual lifting.
