ACCOUNTANT

FFDR Limited is a successful and expanding private company based in Fife. They are looking for an experienced accountant to join their busy Finance Department:

The successful applicant will be required to perform a wide range of accounting and payroll functions including: 

• Supervising accounts assistant(s) within the department
• Undertaking the accounts assistant’s work in times of absence or busy periods
• Controlling bank accounts for 3 businesses including processing regular BACS payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Reviewing suppliers/credit position & providing support to management regarding supplier procurement
• Reviewing debtors, submitting monthly customer schedules and undertaking credit control procedures
• Completing & reconciling VAT returns on a quarterly basis
• Accurate and timely production of the 4 weekly payroll for up to 60 employees
• Preparing monthly management accounts
• Carrying out year end procedures and preparing the accounts and supporting documentation for annual audit
• Producing reports for management & involvement in development of internal controls & efficiences
• Reporting to management & external accountants

A sound working knowledge of Sage accounting and payroll software, as well as a high level of proficiency in Microsoft packages is required. Relevant experience in a similar role is essential.

An attractive salary package in excess of £25k depending on qualifications and experience is on offer.
