Healthcare Support Worker Development Officer

12 month secondment opportunity

35 hours per week

£33,237 p.a.

Based in Edinburgh Office

Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) now form a substantial portion of the nursing workforce within the NHS, social care and care home settings.

We are looking to strengthen our learning and development, policy and communication approaches to be more responsive to these members. A one year project to establish a foundation for future work has been agreed and your role will be to support delivery of this project. This will involve project co-ordination, horizon scanning, data analysis and direct delivery of elements of the learning and development programme to HCSWs across Scotland.

You will use your specialist knowledge and expertise from working in either a health or social care setting, helping to ensure that learning and development opportunities support members in the development of their practice and their clinical role in response to changes in health and social care.

You will be educated to first level degree standard and hold a training and development qualification (or equivalent experience). Recent experience in facilitating learning and of designing and developing learning programmes, and experience of co-ordinating or managing a discreet project/s is essential.
