LEAD ADVICE LINE NURSE

Full time: 32.5 hours per week  Salary £27,102 - £33,594 (Band 7 equivalent)

Base: CHSS Offices, Edinburgh

The aim of the Advice Line Service is to provide confidential information, advice and support to people affected by chest, heart and stroke illness, their families, carers and health professionals, via a primarily telephone based service. The service is accredited by the Telephone Helplines Association.

We are seeking an experienced qualified nurse with excellent communication skills, experience of a management role and the ability to work on their own initiative.

The candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, using their depth and breadth of knowledge to make a real difference to patients’ lives; with the opportunity to enhance current skills and acquire many new ones. Candidates must have at least five years’ post-registration/graduate experience, be computer literate and have evidence of good leadership skills. Experience working with people affected by chest, heart and/or stroke conditions, is very desirable.
