This fast growing company are looking for a qualified accountant to join the team in a newly created role. This is a business facing position with a varied and challenging remit and great progression potential. If you have some industry experience and are looking to progress to a management level role within the short to medium term then this could be the ideal opportunity for you!
As this is a new position in the team the full scope of the role is still to be finalised, however broadly speaking your duties would include Group consolidations work, monthly reporting and analysis, year end statutory accounts and a lot of forecasting, budgeting and business planning work, all involving creating and modifying financial models on Excel. A large part of your ongoing remit would be analysing the existing financial controls and working on improving the reporting structure to create a more robust and efficient monthly process as the business continues to grow.
At some stage in the next couple of years it is hoped that you would have proved yourself as a valuable member of the team and would be ready to take on the role of Financial Controller, a position that doesn't currently exist there as the Finance Director has full responsibility for managing the team. As the company grows he the FD looking to take a step back and concentrate on the strategic direction of the group, so we are looking for someone with the potential to be a number two to them.
