The last 18 months have seen significant change within South Ayrshire Council. With new organisational structures now in place and a number of challenges facing the Council, we are looking for the right people to be part of the journey as we continue to take forward an ambitious improvement agenda that will help us become the most improved Council in Scotland. What is the Role? With delegated authority from the Executive Director or Head of Service be responsible for the development, performance and operation of the strategic planning of Housing and Homelessness Services across all tenures, providing a clear sense of direction to deliver customer focussed services.
What will you do? Duties will include: Play a lead role in the setting of strategic and policy direction including establishing appropriate structures and processes. Manage human, financial and other resources with responsibility for a substantial budget ensuring high quality standards. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, performance standards, council policies/procedures and corporate governance in line with organisational values. Enable the provision of affordable housing throughout identifying opportuities, prioritising the strategic invesment and development programme of RSLs, and working with the private sector.
What do you need to bring?
