Blue Arrow's client, one of Edinburgh's largest Public Sector organisations, requires an experienced Divisional Business Manager to join its busy city centre HQ for an initial period of 6 months.

 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Service and the Divisional Senior Management Team to manage the related revenue and capital budgets, co-ordinate resources across the division, monitor and develop service standards and improvements and ensure statutory responsibilities are met with regards to health and safety.

 

This is an important post within the Senior Management Team with responsibility for developing strategies and procedures aimed at business, commercial and service improvements across the division. 

 

Due to the high level knowledge / experience required for this role, candidates are required to have had some previous financial management experience.  A knowledge of statutory health and safety requirements is also necessary.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Manage arrangements across the division for the preparation and monitoring of revenue budgets and make recommendations for action to achieve a balanced budget.
  • Report regularly to the divisional team on budget matters.
  • Manage the projection and achievement of income across the division.
  • Act as contact
  • Assist with the management of secretarial and administrative functions
  • Deputise for the Divisional Business Manager and other senior managers, representing the division where necessary.
  • Contribution to various service improvements / strategies across the division.

 

Candidate requirements:

 

  • Experience in a financial related environment involving the analysis of financial information.
  • Knowledge of statutory responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety.
  • Excellent IT, communication and analytical skills.
