Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Buyer is responsible for sourcing and tendering goods and services. Through close involvement with all departments, you will be expected to monitor and review supplier performance on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator, team player and analytical thinker with strong persuasive and highly developed interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate a sustained period of delivering purchasing goals in areas of service, quality and cost reduction. You will be educated to HNC level (or equivalent), be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and possess:

• An excellent telephone manner
• A high level of competence using MS Of>ce
• Knowledge of SAP
• The ability to work under pressure
• The ability to travel and stay overnight on occasions
