Job Summary

Pay: £98,748 per annum Hours: 35 hours per week Location: Irvine Area What is the Role? To act as the Council's Chief Social Work Officer, to ensure the delivery and maintenance of proper Social Work standards and practice across the Council. Lead the delivery of a good, efficient and improving Social Work and Housing portfolio. Actively participate in Council wide initiatives as required to take a lead in joint working with the Health Service.

What will you do?

You will provide leadership to the Service enhancing the Social Work and Housing functions and Health partnerships and lead any other council wide cross-cutting service remits. You will manage, commission and/or deliver the Service in accordance with the directions of the Chief Executive and professional standards, focussed on achieving the Council objectives and priorities.

What do you need to bring to the Role?

You will have a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW) or equivalent, SSSC registered and have senior management experience of working within political structures or board level, managing significant financial resources and formulating policy on complex issues.
