Factory Manager Auchinleck   £45k + benefits

Anderson Knight is working in Exclusive partnership with Barony Universal Products. The company is based in Ayrshire and manufacturers consumer goods for leading retailers. They have created a new role as Factory Manager due to a major expansion program, which will result in the company entering into other market sectors.

The role will report directly to the Operations Manager and they will become an integral member of the project team for the expansion program therefore a background in Process Engineering will be a distinct advantage. You will have the skills to implement strategic direction for the factory and also manage Factory Operations and its associated activities on a day to day basis. The company is striving for improvement changes for the factory through people and systems development

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

• Manage production activities across all shifts to ensure the production plan is met within quality and customer requirements.
• Become a key member and provide input and direction to the manufacturing leadership team.
• Manage the operations weekly review and prepare and present all KPI’s and relevant information.
• Manage daily production/logistics meeting to ensure a co-ordinated approach to managing customer priorities.
• Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement activities to drive improvements in operational performance.
• Carry out project planning and implementation of major CAPEX projects.
•  Ensure all performance management activities are carried out for direct reports and support personnel.
• Ensure all labour is managed in line with budget and forecast.

The ideal candidate will have plenty of commercial experience and will be able to influence and support the continual improvement philosophy. They will have broad consumer knowledge, be a focused thinker and possess strong leadership skills.  This position is only suitable for applicants who are able to demonstrate many years of managerial expertise and someone with the ability to manage in a fast moving industry.
