Procurement Manager Glasgow   £50000 per annum

PROCUREMENT MANAGER c£50,000
This role reports to the Site Director for this global manufacturing business. The Company are leaders in their sector with a reputation for high quality, cost effective products. The Materials Manager is responsible for managing a small team that ensures the flow of materials throughout the product life cycle from managing suppliers to inventory accuracy and effective use.

Specific responsibilities encompass :
• Management of the supply base, negotiating on price, delivery and quality
• Management of materials planning function ensuring that raw materials are available when required
• Managing the team to optimise their performance
• As part of the senior management team look at strategy and tactics ensuring that the site is achieving its objectives
• Customer liaison

Candidates should have :
• Management experience within a fast paced materials department
• Experience within the electronics industry preferably C EM
• Experience within a procurement function
• The ability to act operationally and think strategically
• Excellent problem solving and decision making ability
