Based in Edinburgh, our client, a leading Financial Services organisation, are looking for a qualified accountant to join their team in the capacity of Business Analyst. The role will involve the following:
- The acquisition of information and gathering of business requirements required to carry out in depth business analysis activities
- Development of solutions / options to specific business issues based on the information gathered and analysis undertaken
- Presentation of information gathered from detailed analysis carried out to Senior Management team
- Close liaison with a range of Finance business functions in the gathering of information and the documentation
- Responsibility for completing initial view of accounting book and balancing rules for inclusion in system design
- Documentation of finance processes
- Provide input into the production of test scripts to ensure they provide a robust test of the business functionality and processes agreed with Finance stakeholders
To be successful in your application you will require the following:
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
- Experience of working within Financial Services advantageous
- Knowledge of FSA Regulatory Reporting
- Familiarisation of process modelling
- Understanding of project management frameworks
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Ability to travel uk and Europe wide
- Strong systems skills particularly Excel
