The British Red Cross helps vulnerable people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
The Youth & Schools Manager carries significant responsibility for developing, managing, and advising on services in Mid Scotland and Argyll to children & young people. A key focus of the work is to manage programmes of humanitarian education and first aid learning, which increases young people’s resilience, particularly those more vulnerable to crisis. This will include developing and maintaining positive relationships with external organisations. In addition, the post holder will support and manage a team of volunteers and peer educators and support the recruitment of young volunteers into all services.
With either a recognised qualification in education/youth work or equivalent by experience, the successful applicant must have first-rate organisation and IT skills. Due to the partnership working involved strong relationship building skills are vital as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
