Commercial Bid Analyst Glasgow   £Salary £20 - £22k p.a.

General

As a member of the Turner Facilities Management Commercial team this role will be actively involved offering commercial support to bid teams, and also will provide commercial support to operational staff on new and existing contracts.  

Roles and Responsibilities  

1.       Bid Development:

• Close involvement in the preparation of bids within deadlines.

• Specific responsibility for creating commercial bid models using Excel, for contracts which can vary from £1m to £40m pa

• Reporting and attendance at bid team meetings as required.

2.       Support to Operational Staff

•  Establish close relationships with the team of operational staff
• Provide commercial support and advice to enable them to manage and run existing contracts effectively.

• Visiting sites to work with operational teams on site to gain experience on service delivery in terms of commercial information required for operational management and bid development.

• ·Liaison with financial staff to obtain information on budgetary cost data, spreadsheets and statistics in the preparation of bids.

3.       Information Management

• ·Set up and maintain a register of commercial and pricing items pertinent to bidding and contracts. 

4.       Supply Chain

• Working with our supply chain to gain knowledge of their input, with close interaction to ensure required pricing information is supplied to enable bids to be submitted on time.  

•  Preparation of subcontract tendering information to issue to supply chain, contractors and suppliers to acquire pricing information to feed into bids.

Key skills

Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Excel.

Ability to create financial models in connection with high value complex contracts

Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy, commercial person

The successful candidate will also be loyal, trustworthy, reliable, efficient, innovative, can work on there own initiative and has the desire and ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines.

  Qualifications

BSc Mathematics, Surveying or equivalent related discipline.
