Our Retail Department forms part of the wider Trading Team, managed within the Fundraising Division and is responsible for the income generation and net contribution from over 320 Red Cross charity shops nationwide. Red Cross retail is a key player in the sector and is aiming to maintain and improve current market share.
In order to effectively drive the business forward, this exciting and challenging new post has been created to support the Trading strategy by working closely with our Retail Field Managers, Assistant General Manager and the various support teams throughout the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all retail focussed administration, support and communication functions for the business unit and national team are provided, managed and delivered. This will include duties such as gathering and disseminating management information, fielding queries and assisting in the roll out of national trading initiatives. In addition the successful candidate will also remotely manage a small support team and will be required to travel between Retail offices as necessary.
As a key support service to the Assistant General Manager it is essential that you possess outstanding organisation, co-ordination and prioritisation skills as well as proven experience of creating, managing and implementing administration procedures.Your flexible attitude will not only ensure that you are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment but will also mean that you work effectively as part of both a local and national team. Educated to A level standard or equivalent, it is also essential that you are able to demonstrate strong IT skills and past experience of managing and developing a team.
