Our client, a leading manufacturer in Biochemicals, is seeking to recruit a Senior Facilities Engineer to join there established team.

The Senior Facilities Engineer is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities at the company's site. This covers all buildings, equipment, infrastructure and grounds and is managed using a planned preventative maintenance schedule, calibration programme, and maintenance and safety database.

The Senior Facilities Engineer also supervises capital projects as required and supports the installation of new equipment and processes and changes made to existing equipment and processes. Additionally the Senior Facilities Engineer supervisors a small team of Facilities Engineers and a Handyman.

 

The key functions of this role include:

*    Administration and execution of planned preventative maintenance programme
*    Administration and execution of calibration programme
*    Provision of emergency repairs to buildings and equipment to provide continuity of operations
*    Supervision of Facilities Engineers
*    Troubleshooting of equipment and processes not in control
*    Completion of deviations and CAPA relating to the maintenance functions
*    Utilities management
*    Project work including planning and execution
*    Process improvement work

 The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and will have, extensive hands-on engineering experience with process equipment ideally from working in a similar role in a GMP regulated environment.  Proven ability to lead and participate as part of a team and manage projects is essential and working a knowledge of HVAC, WFI, PW and pure steam systems is preferred.

The candidate must be a good communicator with ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams, possess a sense of urgency working to tight deadlines and be and effective problem solver and organiser.
