Our Client is looking for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer. This is a permanent position based in various sites in the UK.

Qualifications:

Mechanic Engineer Degree or Technical High School.

Extensive work related experience in Oil & Gas industry maintenance or installation field activities.

Strong knowledge of Centrifugal Compressor Equipments and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, seal gas system, etc…).

Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings (CC section dwg; CC and auxiliaries construction dwg; P&ID; alignment specification, flushing/blowing procedure; piping specification; etc…).

Good knowledge of English language.

Availability to frequent travel worldwide (on and off-shore).

Strong analytic and problem solving skills.

Good interpersonal & organizational skills.

Computer skills.

Responsibilities:

The Field Service Engineer will be in charge of site activities management including planning, assigning manpower resources and tools, providing technical assistance to complete the work scope according to contractual requirements. In particular, he/she will be responsible for:

Preparing field services jobs and interventions with the project managers.

Lead and execute foundation and soft foot check and adjustments.

Lead and execute CC alignment using dial indicators and be able to perform coupling installation.

Lead and execute minor inspection of CC equipped with oil seals or dry gas seals.

Assist Start-up Engineer during the commissioning phase ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise.

Write accurate professional reports acting as single point of contact between Customers and company Headquarters concerning technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions.

Use company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings.

Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

The candidate will be responsible to keep reliability of Customers assets and to support in a proactive way all company customers.

Desired:

Good knowledge of centrifugal compressor.

Good experience in centrifugal compressor major inspection for each compressor typology.

Knowledge of Oil & Gas Installation and Maintenance Equipment philosophy.

Laser alignment device knowledge.

Coupling hubs installation using hydraulic device.
