Position Description
A major Investment Bank is looking for an ambitious candidate to join their Request for Data group. The Request for Data group is responsible for managing incoming eDiscovery requests for IT data (such as archived email, trade history, hard drive searches) that relate to employee investigations, litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters and ensuring that the requests are adequately formed, tracked, and responded to in an efficient an accurate manner. The group is responsible for covering the Firm’s institutional, investment management, company, and retail businesses. This in an excellent opportunity for the right individual to help the group develop and grow and gain exposure to the inner workings of a variety of business and IT units within the Firm. The role encompasses the following responsibilities:
• Tracking incoming requests for IT data that relate to routine HR, litigation, compliance, and regulatory matters
• Ensuring that the requests follow appropriate process and workflow regarding ownership and responsibility
• Working with Investigations and IT teams to help facilitate the gathering of data and insuring the accuracy of data is confirmed
• Ensuring proper verification and approvals are recorded regarding data completeness and accuracy
• Providing management reporting
• Participating in strategic initiatives designed to streamline and improve the request for data workflow process
Skills Required
• Exceptional administrative, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Understanding of financial products and services
• Keen ability to navigate complex organizational structures
• Ability to work under pressure and in an environment that demands tact and confidentiality
• Fundamental Microsoft Office and Internet usage skills
• Basic understanding of Information Technology concepts, with a particular emphasis in IT Security, eDiscovery/eDisclosure and PC Forensics
Skills Desired
• Project management and business analysis experience
• Working understanding of the life of a trade, from order to settlement
• Broad exposure to trade and infrastructure IT organizations within an Investment Bank
• Experience working in a regulatory, compliance, and/or litigation group within an Investment Bank
