Development Team Leader Ayrshire North   £ Competitive

Our client is looking to appoint a Development Team Leader who has a passion and commitment to deliver continous improvements. This role will focus on both the development and continuous improvement of exsisting brands and new acquistions.

Key responsibilities of the role will be to:-
Ensure that a comprehensive business strategy is developed and implemented through laboratory and plant based trial work to improve quality.
Implement a strategic program of development
Implement a development program of short, medium and long term studies.
Ensure that a comprehensive ‘annual innovations’ business plan is agreed with both marketing and production teams.
Implement and develop ‘innovative’ approaches to the production of new and mature brands.

Ideally, you will have a degree in chemistry combined with a minimum of three years experience preferably derived from working within the food or drink industry. Practical knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography techniques are essential to this role. In addition you will be a proven team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
