My client is a financial services organisation with offices in Edinburgh. They are currently recruiting for a development manager/ technical solutions lead. This is very much a business facing role that will involve managing a small development team, overseeing project and programme management activities and BAU changes to the business systems. The role holder will also ensure all activities are co-ordinated and all risks, issues and competing needs are effectively managed and reported.

Candidates who wish to be considered will require the following key skills and experience:
- Previous experience of Agile based development techniques is essential
- Candidates must also have previous hands on experience of C# ASP.net
- Experience of leading a team to deliver both short and long term initiatives; including people management - recruitment and performance management
- Exposure to working with 3rd party suppliers
- Candidates should have excellent knowledge of testing concepts and processes
- You must also have solid experience of liaising with both the business and IT - this will not be a purely technical role and will involve dealing with senior managers - stakeholder management skills are essential

Please note - this is a permanent role that will be based in Edinburgh, however for the first 3 months, whilst learning the systems, the successful candidate will be required to work out of Surrey - accommodation and travel costs will be covered.
