JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Marketing Manager in ensuring high standards of day to day marketing of the Credit Union, developing Scotwest Credit Union’s position within the Employee Benefits marketplace and building and nurturing effective relationships to achieve this.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Promoting and presenting the benefits of Credit Union membership to all potential members throughout the West of Scotland
Targeting and recruitment of new members
Identifying new potential select employers
Securing introductory meetings to present Scotwest and the benefits of offering membership as an Employee Benefit to the appropriate contact(s) within the organisation
Developing and managing key contact relationships
Representing the Credit Union at external events as requested by the Marketing Manager and or Chief Executive
Maintaining an up to date knowledge of all Credit Union procedures and practices and Credit Union regulatory and statutory legislation to ensure that when representing the Credit Union, accurate information is provided.
Preparing weekly activity plans for the Marketing Manager
Undertaking any other duties as directed by the Marketing Manager or Chief Executive.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Outgoing personality, positive, enthusiastic and mature attitude
Excellent communication skills (face to face, written and on the telephone)
Ability to work independently under your own initiative
Good team player
Ability to prioritise workload, manage time and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Pro active, inquisitive and able to exercise judgement and initiative where appropriate
Flexibility regarding tasks and duties
Full clean driving licence, own car preferable
Strong PC skills - Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree / Marketing qualification or qualified by experience
