User Interface Designer - 3 month contract

Based Glasgow City Centre

Daily Rate - £200

My client is a highly successful organisation within the public sector. Due to continued grow they are now looking for a User Interface Designer to join their team for a period of 13 weeks.

The role will involve designing and producing graphical components and layouts for web applications, user interfaces and public facing websites.

Reporting to the Senior User Interface Designer, you will work the existing style guides to produce internet, intranet and extranet sites, and integrate design templates with web-based applications. You will also work with the communications team and campaign managers to create new brands and update existing brands.

Individuals with the following skills and experience would be well suited to the position:

· Higher education qualification, or equivalent, in Graphic Arts, Computer Science or computer related discipline.
· Proven track record in user interface development - please note that you will be asked to provide examples of your work.
· Strong experience of implementation of web designs and layouts, graphics, Javascript, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS and digital imaging.
· Knowledge of W3C accessibility standards and implementation.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills.
