Our client is a precision engineering company who design and manufacture products for the water and gas utilities industry worldwide.

They have a new opportunity for a Sales Support Manager to support, both technically and commercially, the regional sales offices with respect to customer products and follow-on after sales servicing. Your primary role will be to plan, develop, and implement, in conjunction with the regional sales offices, the sales strategy and activities consistent with the aims and requirements of the organisation. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage a team of 2 Sales Engineers and 1 Service Engineer and be focused on increasing high margin business across the group. While this role is based at the Scottish manufacturing plant you will be expected to undertake some very occasional worldwide travel.

To be considered as a serious applicant for this role, you will have a strong commercial or sales background in the medium to heavy precision engineering sector. Experience in export sales and letters of credit is essential. Candidates who are time served mechanical engineers who have developed their career down a sales or commercial route will have a distinct advantage. You must be computer literate on MS software including MS Excel.
