Our client has a requirement for a Senior Financial Accounting Manager.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the role covers the interpretation and application of accounting developments (principally IFRS and US GAAP). You will act as the expert in respect of financial reporting requirements, keeping abreast of developments in legislation and accounting standards.
Additional duties will include: research and evaluate the financial, commercial and strategic implications for the group of any changes; identifying the alternative accounting policy, disclosure or presentational options and make recommendations for the Group as a whole; plan and manage the production of high quality, accurate and timely Group annual and interim report and accounts ensuring consistency with associated reports, and compliance with companies act, listing rules and IFRS; implement major changes to the Group's Report and Accounts including liaison with business units and external Auditors.
Skills, knowledge and experience required: practical understanding of current statutory reporting requirements for IFRS and UK/US GAAP and up-to-date working knowledge of proposed current financial reporting developments and their potential impact, in particular International Financial Reporting Standards.
