Finance Executive Edinburgh   £35,000 per Annum

The Scottish Futures Trust is an innovative new organisation which was set up in September 2008. Wholly owned by Scottish Ministers, the organisation is dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure investment in Scotland within the public sector.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to have input at Director level across a broad range of issues in a small team environment. Engaged across multiple work streams it is expected that, over an annual cycle the Finance Executive would spend approximately 50% of their time on accounting & business analysis and 50% on project work in infrastructure investment.

The business operates with a £4-5m budgeted turnover, where accounting and annual reporting follows IFRS standards and with additional public sector oversight / reporting requirements. The role would suit a professional with an audit background and, ideally capital project or project finance experience.

To be considered for the role you must be: A CCAB recognised qualified accountant with strong IT skills and an emphasis on MS Excel. SAGE experience is preferable along with the ability to approach situations with senior stakeholders with confidence.
