NEW BUSINESS BROKER                   to £20,000 PLUS BENS

GLASGOW

New business placement broker required by large insurance broker office in Glasgow city centre.  You will be responsible for growing relationships with clients and insurers, providing a service to, and managing the expectations of a portfolio of corporate insurance clients.

Duties:

Ensure service delivery to agreed standard, act as the focal point of contact for prospects up to receipt of quotation from market

Negotiate terms and conditions of placement with lead underwriters, obtain quotes, handle underwriter queries and requests for information. 

Create, maintain and manage long-term business relationships with underwriters to enhance service delivery 

Manage growth of accounts by establishing client needs, converting additional business opportunities.

Negotiate policy wordings with underwriters for individual accounts 

Negotiate or assist in negotiation of terms and conditions for a facility with underwriters, including the negotiation of facility wordings

You should possess an in-depth knowledge of and expertise within the commercial insurance broking marketplace – preferably new business placing, coupled with acumen and negotiation skills of the highest level with proven interpersonal skills.
