Eden Scott’s client based in West Central Scotland, manufacturer of specialist equipment for industry. Due to an ongoing commitment to expansion and development they are now looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join their established team.

With a high degree of autonomy and exposure to leading edge products, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, market leading, company in a diverse and challenging role. 

You will be responsible for carrying out the design and development of product, including 3D CAD, calculations, and Finite Element Analysis, according to project plans.  You will also assist in building prototypes and carry out testing to prove compliance with specification.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Aptitude in Mechanical design
• Proficient 3D CAD skills required
• Practical design/development abilities preferred
• Computer literate
• Hard working and motivated
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Ideally, you should be of graduate calibre with a background in design engineering from within a commercial organization. Experience in design for manufacture using CAE/FEA tools would be beneficial.
