EXPERIENCED BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER WANTED
The opportunity now exists to further develop the existing Business Development team. As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the sale, design and leadership of large scale, enterprise-level projects delivering agreed competitive advantage in customer's market place.
You must have a proven track record in selling Business Transformation services, preferably from either a large or boutique consultancy firm.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in selling Business Transformation services at a strategic level to large blue chip companies
- Experience of negotiating deals with clients enjoying a customer base in excess of 0.5m
- Experience of selling a service not a product
- Strong experience in solution and consultancy selling
- Builds excellent relationships with others and has a strong network of contacts
- Displays confidence in conversation and actions and imparts an energetic and enthusiastic approach
- Negotiating skills: Ability to communicate propositions and ideas at the highest customer level with a manner that gains agreement or acceptance
- Creativity: Generates or recognises imaginative creative solutions to customer problems.
- Understanding of commitment based management (CBM)
- Initiate, lead and win bids and proposals for new work within existing network and outside it to the value of circa £250k - £1 million per project.
- Take responsibility for building the company identity in a particular domain or market, has stature outside the company and actively builds relationships.
- Manage business critical objectives and strategic goals with the client at senior and executive level.
- Presentations: Ability to present business benefits, ideas and solutions at boardroom level and below, adapting to the needs of the audience
- Possesses a positive attitude in working as part of a dynamic and growing business
- Resilient and flexible when working within a fast changing business environment
- Logical approach to solving business problems and committed to client success
- Innovative and entrepreneurial thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness skills
- Knowledge of business change and how to successfully manage this
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Educated at least to degree level, possibly with an MBA or other Masters degree desirable but not essential.

- Salary range: £60000-£80000 + £6K Car allowance + Phone & laptop etc
