Our client currently requires a Payroll Assistant to be based within their Lanarkshire offices. Working within a high volume payroll processing department, part of a busy team,  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • All payroll data collection and input (spreadsheets, change forms, leavers, new-starts, P45/P46, absence, overtime, bonus).
  • All expenses checks, controls and inputs
  • All process checks and controls
  • Preferred experience of payroll processing via SAP software. 
  • Collation of all costing data for recharging as part of automated journal.
  • Payroll reporting (Gross to net / Gross breakdown etc)
  • Commentary for sign-off (prior to BACS)
  • Preparation of payments to employees
  • Preparation of 3rd party payments (i.e. PAYE / NIC)
  • Payroll statistics / analysis
  • Dealing with payroll queries
  • Preparing Pensions/Arrestments/Childcare payments ready for finance to pay
  • Liasing with Finance Team as necessary
  • Creation and reconciliation of payroll journals for Finance (with help of systems acct).
