A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a leading investment management firm in Edinburgh.
The role holder will complete fund statutory reports and assist in the completion of corporate statutory and group accounts.
Responsibilities will include reviewing and producing unit trust and OEIC accounts/distribution rates as well as reviewing quarterly group fund reporting figures and disclosures. In addition you will assist in the production of statutory corporate accounts and group corporate reporting requirements and identify and implement improvements to procedures within the team.
Candidates must have working knowledge of FSA regulations and IMA SORP as well as unit trust and OEIC accounting requirements and be a part/newly qualified accountant. Knowledge of regulations and operating models for retail collective investment schemes and their application in practice is essential. Excellent planning, time management and communication skills are crucial as is accuracy and attention to detail. This role would suit a highly numerate team-player with experience of the financial services industry.
