Project Engineer - Renewable Energy Glasgow   £35000 - £45000 per annum + benefits

Eden Scott's client is an international renewable energy consultancy working with a broad range of technologies including wind, bioenergy, solar, hydro and marine. The company is now seeking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to join its expanding team based in Glasgow.

The Role

• Management of a range of renewable energy consulting projects to time, quality and cost parameters.
• Co-ordination and leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Acting as the interface between the company and its clients.
• Reporting on projects internally and to clients.
• Preparing project proposals.
• Continuously monitoring work to ensure QSE compliance.
• Conducting project site visits in the UK and overseas.

The Requirements

• A relevant Engineering degree qualification
• Significant postgraduate experience and a proven track record in project engineering / project management.
• The ability to produce and review high quality reports to predefined deadlines.
• The successful candidate will be client facing and so must be a confident communicator with smart appearance.
• Applicants must demonstrate a high level of problem solving ability and initiative.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Attention to detail, reliability and good organisational skills are paramount.
• Driving license valid for use in the UK.
• Strong IT skills.
• An interest in renewable energy and sustainability.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience within existing renewable energy projects/companies
• Strong commercial skills.
• Experience of contract management.
• Experience in managing high value contracts.
• Management of site contractors in the energy sector.
• Knowledge of project management techniques including program/cost/risk management.
• Language skills.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
