Senior Occupational Health Advisor Hamilton   £38000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join our  clients UK Occupational Health team on a six month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Occupational Health Manager, you will oversee the Occupational Health Unit and provide a fully pro-active service for our Clients manufacturing facility in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Health surveillance

·         Management of 2 nurses

·         DSE assessments

·         Workplace advice

·         Case management

·         Managing employee absence referrals

·         Development and management of new policies and best practice approach to health care

Skills & Aptitudes:

·         An Occupational Health qualification to diploma or degree level (or equivalent)

·         The ability to communicate on all levels through all channels

·         A professional, flexible and pragmatic approach to working and adaptable to the different Occupational Health needs required

·         Able to prioritise and manage a challenging workload and to operate both with autonomy and as part of a team

·         Experience of preparation and delivery of training, preferred

·         Occupational Health experience within a manufacturing facility preferred.

·         Previous managerial experience beneficial
