A Glasgow based residential developer and housebuilder is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to undertake Land Appraisals and to be based in its Glasgow offices.
Reporting to a Commercial Manager the role will involve liaising with the Land and Technical departments, providing financial appraisals of any upcoming or potential development opportunities, preparing cost to build reports and producing accurate cost predictions to understand the viability of each site as well as undertaking traditional Q.S. duties, procuring subcontractors, preparing tenders and analysing returns, preparing final accounts and monitoring/reporting any variations.
Candidates must be qualified Quantity Surveyors who have several years experience in performing Land Appraisals with a private residential developer as well as having experience in undertaking Quantity Surveying duties for a housebuilder. They must be confident decision makers, have a strong understanding of the entire build process and be capable of making key decisions and advising to Director level.
