Our client, a market leader in security, with over 240,000 employees, operating in 40 countries mainly in Europe, North & South America. They services a wide range of customers in a variety of industries and segments, the core business is security services, including the main business lines specialised guarding, mobile and monitoring. They are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to cover the West of Scotland, based in their North Glasgow office.

The key purpose of the role is to provide operational support to the Branch Manager in line with branch plan and budgets optimising profitability through the correct management and retention of Security officers. You will be accountable of the on call roster, responding to any missed book on/missed check calls/absenteeism using the branch escalations procedure to report any problems.

Main responsibilities include delivering results from the Branch that meets or exceeds the Budget through full responsibility and accountability for:
- Ensuring all officers performance is monitored, maintain positive employee relations and ensure coaching and counselling and investigations are implanted in line with company policy
- Ensure all staff levels meet the agreed service level and that all recruitment is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedure
- To assist the branch Manager in minimising the direct and indirect costs of the branch
- Assist with the development and sharing of 'best practice' and use of systems and tools to improve margins
- To build, develop, lead and retain a team of officers and supervisors that believe and demonstrate through their work that Securitas is different to other Security service providers through ensuring adequate and appropriate training, advice and support is provided to make the team successful. Undertaking regular appraisals, provide open feedback on progress and career development and use of sanctions for under performance.
