Our client, a multi-national market-leader, is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to fulfill a new role as a result of recent expansion. Reporting to the Financial Controller who will be responsible for the provision of accurate consolidated management accounts, forecasts, budgets and analysis.
Specifically, this will include:
Monthly consolidation of group profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow and preparation of group financial reporting in line with agreed timetables;
Analysis of monthly results vs budget and liaison with Site Financial Controllers to obtain explanations for variances;
Development of group reporting including involvement in implementation of new consolidation package;
Preparation of forecasts and budgets for divisional costs and consolidation of group forecasts and budgets;
Involvement in cash management for the group;
Development of group policies and monitoring of site compliance with agreed controls and procedures;
Involvement in accounting and analysis of group costs and non trading entities;
Preparation of group and UK entity statutory accounts in line with agreed timetables;
Technical accounting guidance to all Group companies.
To succeed in this role you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong technical accounting skills and well developed commercial awareness. You will have a sound knowledge of finance, accounting and budgeting principles and, ideally, experience of IFRS. Experience of group consolidation, preferably including overseas entities reporting in foreign currencies, will be highly regarded. Excellent IT skills, including Excel modelling skills, are essential.
