Job Role: Skills and Learning Co-ordinator 

Salary Banding: £19,661 - £25,571. 

To enable those furthest removed from the labour market to access employment, volunteering or training.

The post entails the following key elements:-

  • Liaising with internal teams to organise delivery of a range of training courses for clients
  • Develop a timetable of delivery for staff use
  • Liaise with external training providers to bring in additional resource
  • Ensure suitable marketing materials and information is available to staff and clients alike
  • Manage TfW administration 
  • Organise and manage work placements

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain regular contact with external training providers and build strong partnership relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong links with internal GWRA teams to generate feedback and ideas on courses
  • Prepare delivery rota for Skills and Learning team
  • Relay information on course recruitment and procedures to Advisers
  • Source and promote ILA funded courses
  • Work with external providers on joint delivery of training, if and when appropriate
  • Relay information and market courses to external stakeholders
  • Consider location of college/provider courses within GWRA premises, if and when appropriate
  • Cover Learning/Job/Youth Zones as required
  • Manage TfW administration
  • Manage work placements, including Health and Safety assessments, as required
  • Ensure Open Gate, community venues and outreach centres are provided with appropriate and sufficient marketing materials for GWRA courses, via marketing and engagement teams 

Guidance and Support: 

  • Initial basic registration of clients
  • Information gathering
  • Encourage positive attitudes towards training and employment
  • Provide advice on training opportunities
  • Record and monitor client progress including regular updates to the databases
