Job Title: Internal Account Manager
Business Unit: Dell Financial Services

Summary of Role:
Responsible for delivering a fast, professional and consistent New Business/Sales/Account Management service to Dell and their customers. Working within Dell’s Public team supporting the sales activities of the Internal Sales Representatives based within Dell’s Glasgow office. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding your individual targets and ensuring your allocated Dell team/s reach the desired leasing penetration target.
The role will require a working knowledge of the Public sector and IT channel, the ability to prospect new customer accounts and understand their leasing needs, together with the ability to price different types of leases, focusing upon the generation of profitable business for the company.
Hiring Profile:
Essential:
- Previous experience in a sales environment with measurable over achievement of targets and/or metrics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite as is your self-management, organisational and customer handling skills, which will enable you to develop further in the role.
- Knowledge of financial products e.g. Loans, financial and operating leases with the ability to interpret financial accounts
- Must be able to build strong relationships.
- Problem-solving skills
- Must be positive in outlook and a proven problem solver.
- Good Numerical skills
- Innovation Ability to manage time and prioritise effectively.
- Customer Focus
Desirable:
- Knowledge of different finance products
- Conflict management
- Knowledge of SSAP21 & Operating Leases
- Operation of HP17BII discounted cashflow calculator
- Knowledge of IT industry/sectors & products
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- To meet and exceed sales & profit targets within Preferred Accounts as set by divisional sales management. Development of a robust sales strategy, together with call planning and account management with a view to increase lease penetration through delivery of a high level of customer service.
- To ensure all customers are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner.
- To gain the customers' commitment to proceed with finance and to get the documents issued and returned within an acceptable time frame.
- Obtain additional credit information, if required, by underwriters and complete proposal for underwriting within agreed timescales.
- To manage and control all customer satisfaction issues in line with company guidelines, ensuring that any customer issues are swiftly and professionally resolved.
- To manage the DFS relationship with your allocated Dell teams ensuring they reach leasing penetration targets. Coach, train and develop Dell sales people to the standards set by DFS.
- To ensure a high level of activity on work queues
