Due to recent business growth, there is now a current requirement for a senior manager to manage and develop the national contracts team to achieve maximum profitability whilst exceeding customer satisfaction and fully meeting IMS requirements.
Specialised knowledge, expertise and abilities required -
1. Demonstrable achievement of successful, profitable and accident free projects on a sustainable basis
2. . In-depth knowledge and application of roofing & cladding projects within a national business which has multi-office and sites.
3. Ability to identify the âcritical pathâ for contracts âchecks & balancesâ to client business
4. . Strategic, operational and tactical planner with a passion for detail in terms of profit and loss situations
5. Team player within the Council of Advisor, Operational and Health & Safety forums
6. Sponsor of training and development with special interest in developing apprentices, advisors and leading the IOR development programme.
7. Exemplary communications, presentation, negotiation, reporting and client focus
8. Delegation and coaching/mentoring skills are essential
You will maintain a consistant interface with -
1. All council of Advisors members
2. Contracts Advisors
3. Clients and representitives
4. Key Suppiers and colleagues
5. Professional bodies such as IOR, NFRC etc
KEY RESULT AREAS: 1. Engage fully as a member of the Council of Advisors, taking responsibility and ownership for all aspects of the business (strategic, operational and tactical).
2. Promote and evaluate contracts performance towards achievement of the 3 company WIGS.
3. Lead and develop a team of competent contracts advisors where team-work and mutual respect are key to high achievements.· Ensure the company meets the obligations and contractual agreements with clients.· Meet the strategic plan and its intention to grow and prosper.
4. Lead a passionate campaign focused upon zero tolerance of accidents and incidents.
5. Develop and continuously improve procurement strategy to support business objectives and meet agreed standards.
6. Develop and continuously improve analysis, evaluation and improvement of contracts KPIs, including IMS standards, and drive these to conclusion. Reporting structure to ensure maximum transparency of results.
7. Ensure competency management of all contracts personnel through assessment, appraisal, training and development
8. Continuous professional development with a passion for adopting the learning points from all training (learning & development) interventions.
9. Meet the following obligations:-· The annual trading forecast budget and profitability figures· The role of a Company Director· The fiduciary duties of a Company Director· Not bringing the Company into disrepute
LEADERSHIP
1. Provide leadership for own functional areas and across the Company
2. Chair a variety of meetings including Health and Safety and Operations Meetings
3. Manage the people systems within the function i.e. appraisals, disciplinary and grievance, target setting, communications, coaching and mentoring
4. Oversee and ensure that Customer Requirements are being met and actioned through individual members of the Company
5. Ensure an effective system of knowledge transfer is in place i.e. whereby skills and competencies
6. Direct client specific requirements e.g. Network Rail/Scottish Power from a technical perspective.
